Thursday

Yeah! Now we actually understand more of what we are doing..Today the task was to translate what we had done into actual models, made of wood. We had to come up with something related to rotation sensors, figure out how we could use them in a model and make it work. After doing some planning, the model sort of made itself. We attached wooden elements to each other in different angles. Two parts were connected with the rotation sensor, and in between we attached individual parts. Then the first and the last part were connected together to make a continuous form. It can easily be changed by twisting the sensors, to bring out many interesting forms.

The sensor is supposed to be connected to a display that will show the angle of the rotation..at present we are working on this part

Tuesday and Wednesday

Rollin, rollin rollin...Tuesday and Wednesday, we tried some more advanced stuff connecting the arduino to a prototyping board. We attached a small component able to show figures and numbers, and at last, we made it count upwards from 0 to 9. Cool!

Starting problems

We have had a rather slow start to this workshop. Some problems with the programming are slowing us down. But we are sure of one thing....things are going to be better...in a while. We are on our way to becoming real computer freaks ;-) Now; back to work!
